Abstract
The article includes a brief history of the formation of the breed East Bulgarian Horse, the state standard, exterior details, performance rules and value of the selection traits. It characterizes the condition of the sire and dam lines of the breed. The ways and time of performance as well as the new methods of selection related to the orientation of the breed use for classical riding disciplines are reflected on. The problems of the East Bulgarian Horse Association, the market possibilities and development perspectives are introduced.
