2. Evaluation of suggested changes in cap concerning the rural regions of Poland

Abstract

The rural development policy as a key element of CAP aims to support the sustainable development of rural regions, improvement of competitiveness of agriculture and sustainable exploitation of natural resources. A rural region which is multifunctional and vital in social and economical aspects is a basic for multifunctional agriculture. For this purpose the support for the development of rural regions to a high degree is a key factor for achieving effective transformation of agriculture in Poland. This paper reveals the processes of transformation in rural regions and analyzes the basic principles of changes in CAP after 2013. In conclusion the sustainable development of the rural regions can be achieved by coordinate use of the CAP instruments as well as through the proper integration with the cohesion policy instruments.
