19. Efficiency of producing vegetables in open areas

Abstract

Efficiency is the major economic category, which measures the final result and the expenses related to the production and provides a value expression.
The objective of the study is to analyze the major economic categories, which define the efficiency level of the field production of vegetables – labour productivity, production costs and profitability.
This study analyzes the efficiency based on the investments and the obtained results in a specific enterprise – the farm “ET Vihar – Stoyan Slavov”, in the village of Zimnitsa, Yambol District, for the period 2008-2011.
