Abstract
The article introduces the history of foundation of the Eastbulgarian and Bulgarian Sport Horse breeds. It describes the development of the breeds during the last years. The short characterizing of the new methods of breeding and performing the horses is given. The author describes the efforts of the Associations to review and republish volumes I and II of the Eastbulgarian Stud Book and publishing of the new volumes III and IV as well as volume I of the Bulgarian Sport Horse Stud Book. There is a short description of the Stud Book approval procedures and acceptance as full member of the booth associations by the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation Sport Horses). The article lays down the main difficulties and perspectives of future development of the breeds.
