1. Studies on some Factors Affecting the Regeneration Capacity of Leaf Explants of the M9 Apple Rootstock

Several factors were examined for their effect on the frequency of shoot regeneration from apple leaves. Three different combinations of the growth regulators BAP and NAA were assessed for their effect on shoot organogenesis, as well as three modified MS media and the leaf position on the shoot. The level of regeneration was influenced by all the examined factors.
